I got operated in Nov 2021. The word cancer can be so daunting and brings loads of stress in a patient’s life.

But i was fortunate that I met the right surgeon – Dr Jay Anam, post meeting him was relaxed and knew I am in safe hands. He explained the surgery in minute detail and patiently answered all my queries. Post surgery outcome was also discussed and nothing was left to guessing. He was on time for the surgery and i have to admit that the cuts and scars are minimal and it was a very clean n neatly done job. Post surgery he was always available on phone for any issue I faced. Post surgery follow up visit was also handled professionally.
I was so blessed that my gynecologist recommended me to Dr. Jay R. Anam and believe me that my wellness voyage with him was incredible!

who handles his patients with dignity and respect, in my opinion. He has an incredible talent for motivating his patients and inspiring them to give more than 100% confidence. “Ruma, enjoy this voyage and you will be OK!” he said, and I still remember his words. These words have struck a chord in my heart throughout my wellness voyage, and I am a warrior.
Dr. Jay Anam comes across as a terrific friend, and he makes you feel at ease throughout the procedure as if you’ve known him for years. He is forthcoming and available 24/7 for any queries.
Dr. Anam, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being more than a doctor to me and for serving me with the highest care, smile, patience, and happiness.
I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Anam to anyone considering treatment for breast cancer! Remember, this is a critical step in your cancer therapy, so don’t hesitate to see Dr. Anam. You are, without a doubt, in the best of hands with Dr. Jay Anam!
I am Rajita Saroj, age 36 years and I suffered from left breast carcinoma III, triple positive.

I want to share my story through this platform that might help many patients going through this disease. Last year in month of July & I met with Dr. Jay R. Anam, he did my biopsy just after consultation and without any delay he sent the sample to the best Pathologist of Mumbai.& I still remember his supporting words during biopsy, he said,& Dont worry Rajita, you are in safe hands, whatever the result will be, we are there to cure Dr. Jay R. Anam was the first person who through his motivational & supporting words gave me immense strength & power to fight against this devil called Cancer. He referred me to the best oncologist & his friend Dr. Vashishth Maniar. I was operated on in month of January,2020 at Saifee hospital & breast reconstruction was done successfully by Dr. Jay R. Anam & Dr. Akshay Deshpande (Plastic surgeon).
My name is Kirti Hemant Meher, 43 yrs old, diagnosed with stage ll breast cancer in the month of Feb 2020

The biopsy report news was really shocking it has shaken up our life, especially mine. After going through the reports the first thing that came to my mind was expenses involved for the treatment. Emotionally financially we were broken as my husband had lost his job last year i.e. in April 2019 ( close down of Jet Airways) I too wasnt working. There were a lot of things going on in my mind I was depressed too. One of our family friends gave a reference of Dr. Ashish Joshi Oncologist. He saw my biopsy report asked me to do a few tests like Pet sca blood test. After doing all these tests Dr. Joshi informed me that I’ll have to undergo surgery first hence he referred me to Dr. Jay Anam surgical oncologist. We got an appointment for consultation at Saifee hospital. He went through my reports explained to me about the surgery in detail. My left breast was to be removed completely then reconstruction was to be done.
My advice is to keep distance from people who bring negative thoughts in your mind. Meet your family members and well-wishers who bring a smile on your face and help in diverting your attention from the disease.

Yes, I am telling all these from my own experience…..first having gone through almost a dozen major surgeries for polio which I got when I was just 2 years of age and secondly being a cancer survivor just out of treatment and declared free of the disease.
It happened at the onset of pandemic….somewhere in February 2020. Throughout the period of pandemic consisting of lockdowns, night curfews and various uncertainties, I could cope up with the dedicated efforts of my husband almost single-handedly.
It all started with a boil in the armpit, which got cured after application of balm. It kept happening at intervals of few days with the period of recurrence reducing causing alarm. We met our family doctor Dr. N. M. Shah & on his advice to our family friend, a general surgeon, Dr. Praveen Shetty, who advised to get various diagnostic tests done to find the root cause of the disease. The initial results of reports were inconclusive, but one of the reports suggested cancer & for confirmation a PET SCAN was advised. The results confirmed the disease & all the hell broke loose. Then the rounds to doctors, pathology/diagnostic laboratories and clinics started. Initially, I used to cry a lot & had no desire to live….but my family especially my husband’s full support gave me the courage.
Dr. Praveen Shetty referred me to Dr. Tejinder Singh, a very knowledgeable and caring oncologist who started with chemotherapy. Initially it was decided to have three sessions of chemo….but due to the heavy rush in hospitals due to COVID-19, the surgery was not advisable and hence Dr. Jay Anam, the onco-surgeon and my cousin brother advised to go ahead with three more sessions of chemo. After Dr. Tejinder Singh agreed, the remaining sessions of chemo were completed without much issue. By now I had all the required strength and courage to fight the disease. Thanks to good advise by Dr. Tejinder Singh and Dr. Jay Anam, that if you think positive, you will be able to get alright soon with much less suffering.
It was all easy thereafter. Dr. Jay performed the surgery in August…stayed in the hospital for a couple of days….followed by few follow-up visits, I was feeling much relieved. Next phase was radiation, which also was achieved without many problems….thanks to Dr. Chandra.
Very recently, in February end, I was declared free of the disease and was advised – Not to miss out on check-ups at regular frequencies and to exercise while continuing with oral medication
I am again thankful to all the good doctors and their staff who helped me in getting alright and look forward to enjoying a normal life again.
